This bibliography describes ca. 5000 dissertations "relevant to cultural history," most of them from German universities, in spite of the subtitle. Although its purpose is not at all clear, a reference in the preface leads one to a dictionary by the same author, Lexicon auxiliare: ein deutsch-lateinisches Wörterbuch, whose bibliographic references, one then discovers, has thus been spun off and republished.
