This bibliography covers 23 Festschriften with almost 700 entries. How useful are bibliographies to Festschriften? It would make more sense to offer a topical index to essays and articles as such, whether they appear in Festschriften, in other monographically- published collections, or in journals. This title's most serious flaw is the lack of a subject or keyword index. A final aggravation is the inclusion of the reprint of a 1903 dissertation. [sh/hsb]
